Who We Are
Toddly: Toddler Learning Games (com.odel.toddly) is a learning-games app for children aged 2–5 and their families, developed and published by ODEL DEV LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. Contact: [email protected].
Profiles and Local Progress
Toddly does not require a developer account or email address. An optional name or nickname entered by a parent, age band, chosen companion, interests, game progress, parent report and saved drawings are stored locally. We do not send these records to developer-operated servers or analytics services. If a parent enables Game Center on iOS, the limited achievement updates described below are sent to Apple.
Optional Anonymous Usage and Error Measurements
Toddly displays no ads. Starting with iOS build 38 and Android build 31 of Toddly 1.10, anonymous usage and error measurements are on by default for new installations. Parents can turn them off during the welcome step or in Parent Settings → Account. Existing installations with an explicit analytics opt-in retain it; older installations without a recorded opt-in remain off because prior opt-outs cannot be distinguished from the old default. The app sends a limited set of events to PostHog, Inc. on its US Cloud service to improve setup, purchases, game reliability and app performance. Games and purchased access work with measurements turned off. Earlier builds with the Parent Analytics switch use the previous parent-only, opt-in behavior; builds without analytics support do not send these events.
- Events include app launches, screen and setup-step categories, subscription plan categories and purchase or restore outcomes, game type and start/completion/exit counts, coarse elapsed-time buckets, app version and predefined technical failure codes. We do not send game answers, scores, progress histories, child names, ages, interests, profiles, drawings, typed text, raw error messages or stack traces.
- Each event gets a fresh random event identifier that is never reused to link events, devices or people. Event timestamps are transmitted. There are no account, session, persistent device or advertising identifiers, person profiles, automatic click capture, screen recordings or location enrichment. Reports count events; they cannot measure unique people or individual conversion paths.
- Measurements operate across setup, parent screens and games while the app is visible and the setting is enabled. Turning the setting off stops future collection and aborts outstanding requests. There is no offline or retry queue. Browser Do Not Track is respected.
- Requests use encrypted HTTPS without cookies or a referrer. Network services necessarily receive connection information to deliver requests. Our PostHog project discards client IP addresses from stored events, and location enrichment is disabled. Processing occurs in the United States. PostHog privacy information: https://posthog.com/privacy.
- Where supported, Apple SKAdNetwork may provide aggregated installation/conversion information independently of this optional setting. Toddly does not request App Tracking Transparency permission or use IDFA/Android advertising IDs.
Optional Apple Game Center Achievements
Starting with Toddly 1.11 on iOS, a parent can choose to connect one local child profile to the Apple Game Center account signed in on the device. This feature is off by default. After connection, Toddly sends Apple predefined achievement identifiers and completion percentages for completed puzzles, saved artwork, traced letters and exploring different games. It does not send child names, ages, drawings, answers or detailed play histories. Apple associates achievements with its Game Center account and processes service and connection information under its own terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/game-center/
- The app-scoped Game Center player identifier is used only inside the native app to keep the selected local profile associated with the same Apple account. It is stored on the device, is not sent to ODEL or PostHog, and is not used for advertising. Toddly does not request friends lists, contact information or a cross-game team player identifier.
- One Game Center account can be associated with one Toddly profile on the same device. Switching to another local child profile does not combine that profile’s progress with the connected profile. Game Center achievements belong to the Apple account and are not a backup or sync of Toddly child profiles.
- Parents can turn off Game Center in Parent Settings → Account. This stops new achievement updates and clears the local pending achievement queue. Already reported achievements remain with Apple; manage the Apple account and Game Center privacy choices in system settings. Games remain available without Game Center.
Purchases
Parents perform initial setup, including any initial purchase or restore, without an arithmetic challenge. Purchase entry points after setup are protected by a parental gate. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The relevant store handles payment details. Toddly uses store-provided purchase information to verify and restore access; it has no developer-operated account or purchase server. Store transactions are subject to Apple’s or Google’s own privacy terms.
Parent Controls
Child profiles and progress are stored separately. Daily play time is shared by the children using the same device. Optional reminders are scheduled locally, are off by default and can be managed in parent settings. A parental gate controls access to purchases and child-accessible external links; parent-led onboarding can open legal information directly. Passing a gate is not consent to collect a child’s data.
Retention and Deletion
Local information remains on the device to provide the corresponding app functions. Parents can remove a profile or reset progress in settings. For the last profile, use progress reset. Operating-system options to clear app data or uninstall the app may also be used; device backups depend on operating-system settings. Purchase records remain subject to the store’s rules. Resetting progress does not cancel purchased access. Anonymous usage and error events are retained for up to one year under our current PostHog plan, unless deleted sooner. Turning the switch off prevents future events; it does not delete already received aggregate event records. Because event identifiers are not kept on the device or linked to a person, we generally cannot identify an individual’s past analytics events. Contact us about privacy requests; we will explain what can be located and deleted without requesting child information.
Support and External Links
Websites opened through a parental gate have their own privacy terms. If you email us, we use your address and message to respond to your support request. You do not need to include a child’s personal information. We retain support correspondence only while needed to resolve and document the request or meet legal requirements. You may ask us to delete it. Support correspondence is not child data automatically collected by the app.
Children and Families
Toddly is designed for young children to use with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If you believe a child’s personal information was sent to us through support, contact [email protected] so we can address it and delete it where applicable.
Your Choices and Privacy Requests
Parents can review and change local profiles through the app’s parent settings. We cannot access the local records on your device. Contact [email protected] with questions or requests to access, correct or delete support correspondence that we hold. We will respond in accordance with applicable privacy law. Optional anonymous measurements can be switched off during the welcome step or at any time in Parent Settings → Account. A default-on setting or passing a parental gate is not a claim of parental consent to collect personal information. We restrict these measurements to aggregate product operation and diagnostics; we do not use them for individual profiling or advertising. You may contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion or objection rights and may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to This Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026. This policy adds optional Apple Game Center achievements in Toddly 1.11 on iOS and retains the version-specific anonymous measurement information above. Earlier versions do not support Game Center. We update this policy when the app’s data practices change.
