About HealthLog and This Policy

HealthLog is published by ODEL DEV LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801 US. The app is listed as BP & Glucose Diary – HealthLog and has also been listed as BP & Weight Tracker HealthLog. Its application identifier is com.odel.healthlog. This policy describes the iOS and iPadOS app in version 1.0.7, with differences for earlier releases explained below. Contact us at [email protected] about personal information handled by us.

Your Health Diary and Profile

HealthLog 1.0.7 does not require a HealthLog account. Your diary entries are saved in an encrypted file on your device. Profile information and preferences are stored in the app's local settings. These are used to display your diary, charts, reports and preferences.

Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. You choose which permissions to grant, and manual entry remains available if you decline. HealthLog uses permitted information to show health measurements and populate relevant profile fields.

iCloud

The app includes an iCloud sync feature that can copy diary entries to the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. These records may contain measurements, dates, notes, tags and record identifiers. This is separate from Apple Health. Data sent to iCloud is not stored only on your device, and deleting a local diary entry does not necessarily remove an existing iCloud copy.

Camera and Reminders

If you use the camera-based pulse feature, camera frames are processed on your device to estimate pulse; this feature does not upload or save the camera video. Measurement reminders use the notification permission you grant. You can change camera and notification permissions in device settings.

Purchases

In version 1.0.7, purchases and restoration use Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payments, and the app uses transaction and entitlement information to determine access to paid features. The app does not receive your payment card details. Removing local diary data does not cancel a subscription; subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account.

Network Requests and Recommended Apps

HealthLog requests app configuration and a recommended-app catalog from odel.dev, and app information and images from Apple services. These requests allow the app to load its settings, links and images. The app does not attach diary measurements or profile fields to its configuration or catalog requests. Servers and hosting providers receive connection information, such as an IP address and request headers, when handling a request. Opening an external app or website is subject to that service's privacy practices.

Advertising Identifiers and ATT

HealthLog 1.0.7 on iOS and iPadOS does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not include Adapty or an advertising attribution SDK, and does not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission request. Apple Health, camera and notification permissions are separate permissions for the features described above. The earlier statement that this version requests ATT permission was incorrect.

Earlier App Versions

Earlier releases used Adapty for subscriptions, paywalls and related analytics. Those releases could send subscription and paywall information, along with setup information such as date of birth, gender, goals, activity level, purchase intent, language and permission status, to Adapty. Version 1.0.7 removes that integration. Updating the app does not itself delete information previously processed by a service. Contact [email protected] with the app version if you have a question or request concerning earlier releases.

Exports and Support

PDF and CSV reports are generated on your device. When you export or share a report, the destination you choose receives its contents. If you send us a support email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. The app's feedback email can include the app version, operating system version and device model for troubleshooting; you can review the email before sending it.

Storage, Deletion and Your Choices

Local diary entries remain in the app's storage until you remove them. There is no HealthLog account-deletion process in version 1.0.7 because the app does not require a HealthLog account.

Protecting Your Information

The local diary file is encrypted, and the app's configuration and catalog requests use HTTPS. Exported reports may contain sensitive health information. Choose their recipients and storage locations carefully and protect access to your device.
